Fixing bugs

I bought these years ago, didn’t trim mold lines, spent weeks painting them, have used them once, and then the week I decided to base them properly my cats decided to stomp on them. They’re not recent work, mostly, except that I did learn pinning recently for GSW textured bases, so I spent an hour muttering curses and using a 0.5mm drill bit and some tiny sewing needles reattaching legs.

The two-legged bug’s leg that was already pinned to the base (poorly) has been pinned back onto the body and needs some painting to hide it. The highest leg on the lying-down 4-legged boss bug has been pinned to the body, and the first joint away from the body also got pinned glued back on because, I assume, the cats chewed it right off. I’m pretty happy that the pins aren’t painfully obvious.

Posting these is an exercise in humility and self-forgiveness because they were one of my first models and the mold lines hurt to see. But, this is meant to be a record of my work and I learn more from mistakes than not.
