I finished the bunker

I still have some shitty foamboard to deal with on the edges, which I may hack down and mod podge or cover with something else- but it’s playable and done enough for me to move on to the next project! First I printed out monochrome wartimey posters and washed them in a homemade sepia tone. Those got soaked in glue and plastered over the pod podge gloops I didn’t catch when I was trying to apply only a thin layer. A little bending and tearing and they look like part of the environment.

Next I hit the outside with brown and green washes for a dirty/grimy look, since it’s obvious this weathered and chipped stone/concrete has been here for a long time. Finally, I added some unnaturally bright blood with a spatter, a pool, and some drags indicative of heels. It ought to be a bit greener for a crimson, but fuck it, whatever, first time I’ve ever done blood effect and I’m quite pleased with it. And that’s it! Two individual bunkers with character and distinction, or one magnetized whole with a common look. I got what I was after, including a bunch of learning and knowledge of what else I can try next time.
