I finally bought some PiperMakes models. Then I treated them poorly. Okay, so, love these models. the basic concept I had is pretty good. But the UWU model posing I did was shit, and my attempt to drybrush some OSL effects… didn’t work. At all. I may be able to fix this with some airbrushing, and probably should. The great joy of 3d printing is that I can toss these and start over if I want to! I don’t want to, though. Except maybe that UWU model, the posing, ugh.

So, the good stuff; I was aiming for an Apple // CRT monitor effect on the stealth effect, and I nailed it. Drybrushed heavily with grey and moderately with white for, not a zenithal, but let’s call it really aggressive edge highlighting that gave sort of an “outer glow” instead of OSL’s inner glow. Glazed it with a couple layers of green, and I gotta say it’s pretty jammin’. The blue interior glow… if I hit these with some careful white and then blue airbrushing I think I’d get a way better look, and it’d cover a lot of the grossness my drybrush attempt caused.
TL;DR great models, cringey paint job except the stealth effect.
