Made a Christmas present for a friend. Really over-boiled the leather, but the pattern from MPRLeatherworks on Etsy held together well. The friend has extremely poor luck, so my wife and I added what we could in a symbolic way. Citrine stones in the stitching, green and gold dye, and a “luck spell” of cinnamon, basil, allspice, mint, and salt (plus camomile to represent a calming of anxiety) went into the boil. Neither of us believe we can change statistics, but it’s an expression of our hopes for the rolls our friend will make in the future.
