3D printed resin is brittle. ABS-like resin is less brittle but not un-brittle. My printing closet is floored with tile. When I- who am so clumsy doctors comment my parents should have taken me to physio as a child for fine motor control development issues, who am so clumsy I’m setting up physio appointments this year as an adult to try and resolve some of these fine motor control issues- try to move a resin model from plate to pot for washing, or hold one in the airbrush booth, or put a model down, just, just normally put a model down-
Anyway after about the tenth model I broke into little pieces, I went to Ikea and bought the fluffiest rug that I could, and I haven’t broken a model since then.
Well, not in the printing booth. I’m going to need a slightly less fluffy rug at my painting desk so my wheeled chair can still move over it, but something more force-absorbent than laminate.
