Objectification Markers 3; Viki and Guh

I really enjoyed painting this model, and I really like how it came out. You can tell. Gaz Minis sculpted this Orc Dominatrix Viki and Gimp “Guh”. It’s not the only Gaz sculpt I have and love. Obviously I didn’t go for orc, but I think it looks just fine.

Process explanation first. Skin tones aiming for Siksika or Tsuut’ina Indigenous Canadian. Then a nice crimson latex bikini, plus some crimson stockings with a traditional seam on the back side. The floor’s black with layers of drybrushed lighter greys, plus some white-yellow candles and yellow flames. Time for black next; Leather stocking garters, jacket, and base black for iron chain. NMM on the chains and the jacket’s spikes. I wanted to go with stark and minimal colours on Viki’s outfit here so her jacket fur ruff was grey and her hair was white. Then it was time for shine. The leather got some white highlights from below, using a kind of aggressive sketchy approach I’ve seen Adam Warren use a lot in Empowered and thought I might like. Over that I went light orange for candlelight reflection. Here I realized the whole thing would have looked better if I’d done her skin highlights upside down- alas. One of these days I’ll do a couple of high contrast OSL pieces and train my eye up better. Anyway, I hit her fur and her hair tips with a little candlelight as well, then painted Guh up. I could have gone black but I wasn’t totally sure I liked the idea of that much black, so instead I went white and pink. More NMM on his chains and cage, and then I came in with my airbrush and got some candlelight glow on everywhere I thought it should be. It helped soften up the sketchy edges of my jacket highlights.

Boom boom and boom, hottie dominatrix and her gimp. I can see a half dozen things I could improve next time. There’s experiments I could try and technique I could polish up. Don’t care, love this model, and I’m very happy with how good it looks given my skill level.
